Use this article when you need to decide what to attach, how much to attach and which time range to choose.
What Counts As Context
Context can include:
- The account, stakeholder, or deal page you are viewing.
- Records selected from a picker.
- A signal from the Signals feed.
- A shortcut and its selected inputs.
- A time range.
- Earlier messages in the same chat.
Choose The Smallest Useful Context
More context is not always better. Choose the smallest set that can answer the question.

Pick The Right Time Range

| All Time | Background history. | Not always useful for urgent action. |
If a question is about "what should we do now," use a recent range first.

When sharing an answer, say which scope you used.
Check Before Sending
Before sending, confirm:
- The chips show the right records.
- The time range matches the decision.
- The prompt asks for one clear output.
- The selected records all belong to this question.
- The chat does not contain unrelated earlier context.
If The Answer Uses The Wrong Context
Use this follow-up:
"Ignore the previous context. Use only [record/list] and [time range]. Answer as [summary/table/next actions]."
