Member and Client Admin access

Member and Client Admin access

Members manage account, stakeholder and deal records. Client Admins also manage their team and workspace settings.

Roles at a glance

  • Members can add, import, export, update and delete records. Use the actions available on the Accounts, Stakeholders and Deals pages, including bulk updates.
  • Client Admins can manage their Members, invitations and Member promotions. Invite teammates, resend or cancel invitations, remove Members, and promote a Member to Client Admin.

A Member is a teammate with access to your workspace. A stakeholder is a contact stored in your account or deal data. Removing a Member from your team and deleting a stakeholder record are different actions.

What Members can do

  • Add accounts, stakeholders and deals.
  • Edit records and use Update to change selected records together.
  • Select one or more records and choose Delete, then review the confirmation before continuing. For accounts and deals, use the selected-row action if there is no delete icon on the row.
  • Export lists to spreadsheets using the available Export XLSX action.
  • Import stakeholders from a file, or import accounts and stakeholders from a connected CRM.
  • Export selected accounts or stakeholders to an available connected CRM, and use record-level CRM connection or disconnection actions where shown.

Import and export options depend on the page and the connected service. Account file uploads through Manage Accounts are Admin-only. Deals do not support import or CRM actions. Some fields are restricted to admins.

Workspace Settings, team invitations, role management and integration setup require an admin role. Members can view Brand and Context; Admins and Client Admins can edit those company details. All users can manage their personal Profile and theme preferences.

What Client Admins can do

Client Admins have the record-management options above, plus team and workspace administration:

  1. Open Settings → Members to search the team list and open a teammate's profile.
  2. Use Invite to add a Member. Use Pending to review, resend or cancel invitations.
  3. Once a Member has joined, use Promote to make them a Client Admin when the option is available.
  4. Use Remove on an eligible Member and confirm the action to remove their workspace access.
  5. Update the workspace name, logo and description, and edit Brand and Context where those options are available.

The Client Admin team view shows Members and other Client Admins. Admins, Owners and team overview statistics are not included in this view.

Client Admins cannot change or remove other Client Admins, Admins or Owners. They cannot promote someone to Admin or Owner, or demote another Client Admin. Wider role and security controls are reserved for Admins and Owners.

If an option is missing

Check that you are in the correct workspace and that the teammate has accepted their invitation. CRM actions also require an available connected integration.

If Member promotion, removal or workspace-detail editing is unavailable, ask your workspace Admin or Owner to check your workspace access settings, or contact Njord support.
