Import accounts

Use Import on the Accounts list when you need to bring company records into DOE from a connected CRM. Admins can also use Manage > Accounts > Import from file for an Accounts workbook.

Account import menu

The menu sits beside Add and Export XLSX. The available choices depend on which integrations are connected for the workspace and which ones need attention.

Import Choices

ChoiceUse it when
Import from fileYou are an admin importing an Accounts workbook from Manage > Accounts.
Import from HubSpotHubSpot is connected and you want to import account/company records from HubSpot.
Import from Salesforce (Reconnect in Settings -> Integrations)Salesforce is configured but needs reconnection before Salesforce import can be used again.

The Salesforce reconnect message means the integration is not ready from this menu. Open Settings > Integrations, reconnect Salesforce, then return to Accounts and open Import again.

Before Importing

  1. Confirm you are in the right workspace.
  2. Confirm the CRM connection is active.
  3. Check whether imported CRM fields should overwrite or complement existing account data.
  4. Use Quick Search after import to verify the expected accounts appear.
  5. Use filters if the account is present but hidden by status, owner, segment, or targeting state.

Import An Accounts Workbook

  1. Open Manage > Accounts and choose Import from file.
  2. Select one XLSX workbook.
  3. Make sure the first worksheet is named Accounts and the first row contains the field names.
  4. Make sure every account row has a company name. Blank rows or rows without a name are not submitted.
  5. Upload the workbook and review any row-by-row validation message.

DOE trims extra spaces and ignores blank optional cells. Invalid dates or unsupported values are left out rather than inserted as broken data. If the review dialog names a row, field, value, and reason, correct those cells and upload the workbook again.

This Manage Accounts upload is separate from the wider Settings upload flow. Use the path your administrator has enabled rather than mixing templates between them.

After Importing

Imported accounts become part of the Accounts list. Review ownership, status, RMF, program, market segment, industry, targeting state, and PIF fields before acting on imported records.

If you need an offline copy after import, use Export XLSX from the same toolbar.
