Deal inline and bulk updates
Deals can be updated directly from the list when the user has permission. Use inline controls for one deal. Use bulk updates only after the exact rows are selected and the same change should apply to all of them.
Stage dropdown
Image guide: The Stage dropdown changes one deal's pipeline stage. Confirm the deal name and account before choosing a new stage.
Date picker
Image guide: Date fields open a calendar picker. Use this for close date or other date fields shown in the table.
Probability dropdown
Image guide: Probability updates the forecast likelihood. It should match the evidence from the opportunity, not just optimism.
Owner dropdown
Image guide: Owner changes who is responsible for follow-up. Use search inside the dropdown if the owner list is long.
Safe update journey
- For one field on one deal, use the inline control in that row.
- Confirm the deal name and account before changing stage, probability, owner, value, or date.
- For several deals, select only the rows that should receive the same update.
- Confirm the selected count before applying a bulk action.
- Apply one clear change at a time.
- Recheck the rows after the update.
- Deselect rows when the bulk task is finished.
Important difference

| Inline update | One field on one visible deal needs to change. |
| Bulk update | Multiple selected deals need the same change. |
| Pagination | The user needs another page or page-size change, not a deal update. |
Pagination controls are explained separately so users do not confuse page navigation with updating selected deals.
