Map And Sync Records

Map And Sync Records

Open View Details and use the field mapping section to review what can update between DOE and Salesforce. The exact list can change as administrators enable or disable fields, but the supported profile fields are shown in the details panel before sync is confirmed.

Common Fields

Common account and Salesforce Account fields include name, website or domain, country, employee count, industry, LinkedIn, and targeting status.

Common stakeholder and Salesforce Contact fields include first name, last name, title, email, country or location, LinkedIn, and targeting status.

How To Review Field Mapping

  1. Open Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the Salesforce card.
  3. Select View Details.
  4. Open the field mapping or sync fields section.
  5. Review account-to-Account fields.
  6. Review stakeholder-to-Contact fields.
  7. Confirm which fields can update DOE, Salesforce, or both.

Sync Rules

  1. DOE syncs only mapped records.
  2. DOE sends updates only when supported mapped fields actually change.
  3. Salesforce inbound updates are collected by scheduled polling.
  4. Empty values can clear supported fields such as website, domain, and email when that field is included in sync.
  5. Country and industry values may be normalized before DOE stores them.
  6. Domain and email changes do not break an existing mapping because the mapping is stored by Salesforce object ID.
  7. DOE media insight values are managed separately through DOE fields and widgets.

Read Direction Carefully

Bidirectional does not mean every field always moves both ways. The field mapping screen is the source of truth for direction. Some fields may be DOE to Salesforce, some may be Salesforce to DOE, and some may be read-only depending on workspace configuration.

If a field value looks wrong, check the mapping direction before editing the record. Editing the wrong side may be overwritten by the next sync.
