Salesforce blue dot and row selection

Salesforce blue dot and row selection
Some Salesforce mapping, import, and export tables show a small blue dot at the far left of each row.

Image guide: The blue dot represents the Salesforce connection for that row.
What the blue dot means
The blue dot is a Salesforce provider indicator. It helps visually identify that the row has Salesforce CRM context, but it is not a checkbox and it does not mean the row is selected.
How to select a row
Use the rounded checkbox beside the row name to select the record.
If the blue dot is visible but the checkbox is empty, the row is not selected. A row is selected only when the checkbox shows the selected state.
When this matters
This distinction matters in workflows where you choose specific rows before continuing:
- Import Salesforce Accounts.
- Import Salesforce Contacts.
- Export DOE accounts to Salesforce.
- Export DOE stakeholders to Salesforce.
- Confirm or adjust proposed mappings.
Before you continue an import, export, or mapping action, scan the checkbox column rather than the blue-dot column.
