Salesforce polling and inbound sync

Salesforce polling and inbound sync

Salesforce inbound changes are collected by scheduled polling instead of webhook delivery.

What polling does

Polling reads changed Salesforce Accounts and Contacts and applies meaningful profile updates back into mapped DOE records. It also tracks deleted Salesforce records when Salesforce still exposes them through the deleted-record resource.

What appears in status

The Salesforce details panel can show:

  1. Whether polling is enabled.
  2. The current polling mode.
  3. Last polling time.
  4. Next polling time.
  5. Last successful run.
  6. Cursor state for Accounts and Contacts.
  7. Last polling error when one exists.

Update rules

DOE applies Salesforce changes only to mapped records and only when the value is meaningfully different. Domain and email changes do not automatically unmap existing records. Explicit unmap, disconnect, or deletion flows own mapping removal.

If polling looks stale

Check whether the integration is active, the connected user can see the required fields, and the latest status does not contain setup warnings or polling errors.
